Originally from a small town in Maine, Robert “Bob” McKenna graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Brown University before serving as a Swift Boat Captain in Vietnam. Following the military, Bob worked as a stockbroker for Merrill Lynch prior to establishing McKenna Financial in 1969. McKenna Financial was founded on the principles of trust, competent professional advice, continual communication and prompt personal service. A proponent of long-term relationships, Bob has many clients that have been with McKenna Financial for over 50 years.

Bob and Ann, his wife of 50 years, have traveled extensively throughout the world. While in the U.S. Navy, Bob scaled Mt. Fuji, received the Bronze Star and was the 1964 Japanese-American Friendship Open Golf Champion. Bob and Ann have four sons and eight grandchildren. When he isn’t working or traveling, Bob spends as much time as he can with them.
